Postcard from Puglia

Hey folks,

it’s been quite a while since we have been insanely busy over the last few months but we still wanted to share something with you again. Today it won’t be about gear or other technical stuff we just wanted to share a little video and some snaps from our last trip with you since we kinda fell in love with a little something called south italy. Last year we have been asked to photograph and film a wedding (more on that in the coming weeks) which would be held in italy since the groom got italien roots. How could you possibly say no to that and since we never ever been to the south of italy we decided to arrive a few days earlier and enjoy the countryside for some much needed down time.

Thailand 2015

Hi folks,

back in december last year it was time for our annual trip to thailand. For us this means kind of the only real vacation time we get so we are always trying to squeeze as much exploration and leisure time into 3-4 weeks as we can. For this time that meant to stay one week in bangkok, visiting Chiangmai in the north of thailand and spend another week doing literally nothing but baking in the sun on phuket for the last week. It wouldn’t be us if we wouldn’t take our cameras with us so head on for the full post for some bangkok street life shots, some amazing food tips for chiangmai and how to best spend a week doing nothing!

California Dreaming | Los Angeles

Hello there everyone,

this post was supposed to go online after we got back from LA in July last year! Unfortunately we have both been extremely busy and therefore had absolutely no time to share that one.We hope you don’t mind reading about that trip a little than it actually happened and that you still enjoy it! So we are giving you a break from all the usual gear talk and give you a little overview about our time in LA instead. We will share some insights in what we have done, what we ate and what we think about this cozy, little town in southern california. So if you’re planning a trip to the west coast, dreaming about getting famous in hollywood or if you’re simply stuck in traffic on the 405, make sure to read on and leave your comments after the post.

Los Angeles Making-Of | Sigma 50mm 1.4 ART Review | Sony a6000 XAVC-S test

Hello everyone,

from the title you can already guess that this post is about to get cramped. 🙂 It is not only our first post to be done in america, since we have been in LA for about a week. It is also a new making-of video from marie’s first shoot, lucky you it is a bikini shoot, but it also features a few words on the 50mm 1.4 ART lens from sigma and since that isn’t enough we also throw in a few words on doing video with the new XAVC-S codec on the a6000.  So head on to the full post to read all about it and see some pictures from the shoot itself. And don’t forget to watch the video at first:

Marie’s LA Gear

Hi there everyone this is Marie. We are currently right in the middle of our final preparations for our trip to LA starting this weekend. We will be on stay for about 4 weeks and we planned the whole thing as a mixture of vacation and self promotional work. Since we’re leaving in a few days it was about time to check our gear and we thought it might be interesting for a few of you to know what will be in our bags for the trip. In addition Sigma Germany have been kind enough to let me play with their new toys which I will test drive over there and hopefully I will be back with a lot of new pictures and Alex and me might even do a little review about the new Art-Lenses.

Walking with tourists in cambodia.

Hi there, here we are again. We’re slowly working on ordering the images and process all the files we have taken on our asia trip, back in december. In between our 4-week trip we stayed 6 days in Siam Reap/Cambodia to visit the temples. In addition to the normal sightseeing stuff Marie was focusing on continuing her child series she started back in 2012. So read on to learn how to stay calm between asian tourist bouncing around with selfie sticks and see a few of the shots we took there.

Hello Bangkok!

Hi there folks,

we’re glad you made it here in the first place and we would like to welcome you on our blog. We will start right away with our first post, we have been spending 4 weeks in asia as our yearly vacation and that involved being in Bangkok for about two weeks which was also the perfect place to test our new Sony a6000 camera.  Since this is a blog mostly about photography, some gear and a few traveltipps of locations and stuff we found worthy to visit and share we will jump head-on into this post.
